As the ICT industry continues to grow, the demand for skilled knowledge workers is increasing even more. ICT Professionals need to keep abreast with emerging technologies to remain competitive in the global market. Therefore, MDeC has launched the CDP Professional Development to enhance skills of local ICT knowledge workers.

CDP Professional Development eases the burden of MSC Malaysia Status Organisation and its employees to take up professional certification and training courses by providing financial assistance.

Programme Objectives

Increase competency and skills of local ICT professionals Promote continuous improvement of capability and skills especially on emerging technologies and new good practices Create a bigger pool of multi skilled local ICT professionals

How It Works

The programme is open to all MSC Malaysia Status Organisations and its employees. Programme participants are to make own arrangements to undertake their chosen certification/training course and incentive will be disbursed upon successful completion.

Financial assistance for CDP Professional Development is based on reimbursement basis. There are 2 types of financial assistance available:

Type	Incentive Value
Training Track Refers to training(s) required to obtain a professional certification	50% of total training(s) cost or maximum of RM1,500 per participant; whichever is lower.
Certification Track Refers to exam(s) required to obtain a professional certification	Technology based certification 75% of total exam(s) fees leading to certification or maximum of RM2,500 per participant; whichever is lower. Non Vendor based certification 75% of total exam(s) fees leading to certification or maximum of RM1,000 per participant; whichever is lower.

Eligibility Criteria

Two (2) categories of application with different sets of eligibility criteria:

MSC Malaysia Status Organisation Category (Certification & Training Tracks)

Must be active MSC Malaysia Status Organisation Nominated participants must be Malaysian Nominated participants must have at least 1 month working experience Meets the admission criteria of the professional certification and training course chosen Professional certification/training course applied must be approved by MDeC

Individual Category (Certification Track only)

Employee of a MSC Malaysia Status Organisation Malaysian Must have at least 1 month working experience Meets the admission criteria of the certification chosen Certification applied must be approved by MDeC Must pass the exam and obtained the certification applied
